Attendees of Day 1 programming at the SCANPH conference can choose between two in-depth seminar sessions or a bus tour of affordable housing developments. (Note: This programming is separate from the main conference, which occurs on 10/25.)

• Option A: Asset Management Essentials: Key Components Throughout Project Lifecycle
  The importance of understanding and managing the risk in affordable housing developments spanning from pre-development through lease-up, stabilization operations and the exit are key to successful asset management. Learn strategies throughout the asset life-cycle, including finance basics, common issues, problem solving, and core aspects of the role. This session will discuss the critical role of asset management to all parties interested in the success of affordable housing ranging from lenders to investors to residents. This seminar is presented in partnership with Berkadia.
  
  
• Option B: California Affordable Housing Leadership Institute (CALI): Development 101
  Learn about each phase of the development process from industry veterans, who will cover mission, project feasibility, entitlements & design, financing, and construction/asset management. Attendees of this institute training will better understand the unique challenges of affordable housing development, and gain greater insight about solving our housing crisis.
  
• Option C: Bus Tour--San Fernando Valley Developments
  Attendees will be taken to a series of developments throughout the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles in order to hear about the story behind each project's development process, notable architectural features, innovative additions, residents served, and a tour of the facilities. Lunch provided. Bus tour departs hotel at 12 pm!
